Stamp Duty Land Tax is payable on all purchases of more than £125,000 unless you are purchasing in certain areas of
England or Wales where properties up to £150,000 are exempt. The
current rates for all property values are on a sliding scale. At completion all property purchased in England and Wales has to be registered with the Land Registry and the appropriate fee paid.
